Privacy Policy
Effective 26 October 2026
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Thai version, the Thai version prevails.
This policy explains what information Guestiny collects, how we use and share it, and what rights you have when you use guestinyth.com to create a wedding invitation, or open an invitation and reply to it as a guest.
In short
- We collect only what we need to run the service. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
- A published invitation can be opened by anyone who has the link, so only include what you’re happy for others to see.
- Guest replies are deleted automatically 90 days after the wedding date, and invitation content 180 days after it.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by messaging us on Instagram @guestiny.th, Facebook Guestiny or LINE @720tdrib.
Contents
1.What does this policy cover?
Guestiny operates guestinyth.com and is the data controller under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). This policy applies to customers who create invitations, guests who open or reply to an invitation, and visitors to the website.
For invitation content and guest replies, the host decides what to include and how the information is used. We store and display it on the host’s behalf.
2.What information do we collect?
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture, which Google or LINE sends us when you sign in (LINE does not share your email address with us). We never receive your password.
- Invitation content: the text, date and venue, photos, video and music you add.
- Orders and payments: what you bought, the amount and the payment status. Payments are handled by a payment provider, and we do not store your bank account or card details.
- Guest replies: the name, number of people and message a guest enters. We keep a random code on the guest's device so they can come back and edit their own reply (our database stores only a hash of the code), and we temporarily keep a hash of the IP address to stop repeated bulk submissions.
- Website usage data: such as IP address and browser type, and the cookies needed to keep you signed in, plus a cookie that remembers how you found our website, such as a social media link or a search (kept for 6 months). With your consent, we also use analytics cookies that tell us which pages are opened and where people get stuck, without your name or email. We do not use advertising cookies.
Account details and payment data are required to provide the service; without them we cannot open an account or publish an invitation. Everything else is up to you. Please do not include sensitive data such as national ID numbers or health information.
3.How do we use your information?
We use information to:
- create your account and verify you when you sign in
- save your invitation and show it to guests as you set it up
- take payment and keep the records the law requires
- collect replies so the host can plan the wedding
- answer questions, fix problems and keep the service secure
- understand overall use of the website to improve the service, with your consent
We process this information because it is necessary to provide the service under our contract with you, to comply with the law, and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and knowing how customers find us. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent, which you can change at any time at the end of this page. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
4.Information on invitations and guest replies
- A published invitation can be opened by anyone with its link or QR code, without signing in. That includes its photos, video and music, which can also be opened directly by their file address. Only include what you are happy for others to see, and get permission from other people who appear in your photos.
- We ask search engines not to list invitation pages in search results, and you can unpublish at any time.
- Guest replies are shown only to the host, never on the invitation itself, and we do not use them for anything else.
- If you are a guest and want your reply corrected or deleted, contact the host or contact us.
6.How long do we keep your information?
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the service and as the law requires.
- Account details: as long as you use the service, or until you delete them or ask us to.
- Drafts that have not been paid for: deleted with their photos and files 60 days after they were created.
- Paid invitations: text, photos, video and music are deleted 180 days after the wedding date. We keep only the couple’s names for the thank-you page, the wedding date and the invitation link.
- Guest replies: deleted automatically 90 days after the wedding date.
- Payment records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
7.How can you manage your information and exercise your rights?
In your account you can edit invitation content, delete drafts, unpublish, and download your guest list.
You also have the right to access and obtain a copy of your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To use these rights, message us on Instagram @guestiny.th, Facebook Guestiny or LINE @720tdrib and we will act within 30 days. If you believe we have not complied with the law, you can complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee.
8.How will you know the policy has changed?
If we make significant changes, we will announce them on the website before they take effect. The latest version is always on this page.
